Crazies Play with Bubbles

Hey Crazy4Challenges Fans, Frances, our January hostess, is back with this week's challenge!!

Yesterday was Bubble Bath Day. So for our challenge this week, include something that relates to bubbles on your card. You could of course include a bath with bubbles, or kids blowing bubbles, fish with bubbles, create a background using colored bubbles etc.

I used a bubble bath stamp from Stampendous and a sentiment from There She Goes.  I used a Martha Stewart punch for the border, a Martha Stewart flower punch along with brads for the flowers, an MFT lacy die to create the frame, and a Spellbinder oval die for the image panel.  The image was colored with Copics.

Be sure to visit the Crazies Blog to see the bubble creations by the DT.

What a surprise and joy!!!!

This card is special for a couple of reasons.  First of all, it is one of the cards I created for Splitcoast's Product Review Team this month.  We were so very lucky to receive some of the new Spellbinders' Decorative Nestabilities to play with.  This card used the Crown Ovals, and I also received the Lacey Circles.  I'll share the other cards another day......

I really wanted to get this one posted as a very special friend sent me this stamp as a surprise.  I met her through the Card Angel program sponsored by Chemo Angels.  I heard about this group through SCS.  Due to the fact that your chosen recipient is dealiing with health issues, you are told that you should not expect to hear from them at all.....after all, they have so much they are dealing with, the last thing they need is another obligation.  HOWEVER, my 'assigned recipient', who I now call friend, kept in touch with me throughout her journey of treatments AND we still keep in touch today even though she has returned to good health and a normal life.  She inspired me with her positive attitude toward life, her love of friends, and her perseverence during good and bad days....all mixed with a healthy acceptance of life's many twists and turns.

So, besides thanks for the stamps, I would like to wish Gail a longggggg future with many new adventures, solid friendships, and a great sense of humor.......she deserves the BEST!!!!!

You rock, g/f!!!!!

....and...this card is now on its way to you!!!!

Stampin B's and CCEE Challenges.

I really do hope that no one is bothered by my doing these two challenge postings in the same post.  It makes it easier for me.  Anything which makes my life easier is AOK with me......IYKWIM!!!!

CCEE Challenge #1009
Inspiration Challenge

Tosh is our hostess for the month of March and she is challenging us to inspiration challenges.  The picture (from Williams Sonoma) to the left was the inspiration piece for this week.  I took inspiration from the plate layout (my card design), the leaves in each section (used a leaf backgrounder), and the tall breadsticks (which became my tall flower shoots).

The image I used is from Nature Silhouettes I by Innovative Stamp Creations.  I do not know the maker of the unmounted leaf backgrounder.

Now be sure to visit the CCEE Blog to see all the creations by the team members.  Then, using the links you'll find in my sidebar, take a journey to their individual blogs to read more about their creations.

Stampin B's Challenge #48
Flowers in main image and buttons as embellishments.

As hostess for this week, I challenged the team to make a card with a main image that included flowers AND to also use buttons as embellishments on their cards.

I used this image from MFT which has been gathering dust. I thought it might be a card you could use in place of a 'get well' card for some situations. Seems like a lot of people in my circle of friends have been confronting cancer in their lives. I think this card would show them I care and yet not be an ordinary get well card. What do you think????

I used:
Cuttlebug embossing folders
Martha Stewart deep punch
Heart buttons (unknown)
Spellbinder die
Piercing kit (SU)
Ribbon (unknown)

Now be sure to go to the Stampin B's blog to see the creations of the entire team.  Also, use the links in my sidebar to visit the individual blogs of the team members to see more of their creative process and other creations.

Crazy4Challenges #14 -- Gift Card Packaging

I am so pleased to be the hostess for the December challenges for the Crazy4Challenges team. I hope you all will be able to take some time and play along with us during the month. I know that December is a busy time, but we all need some play time, right?????

My challenge for this week was to make some type of gift card holder. I used the Rejuvenate set by There She Goes. Now I know that this does not look very 'holiday-ish' but it was created to put a spa gift certificate in that I bought someone for the holidays.

Please take a moment to go check out the creations of the rest of the team. Here are the links to our blog and to the blogs of the team members.

The Rejuvenate set by There She Goes was used to create this card. I used many of the sentiments to create the background and a few of the images for the main panel.

SC -- Pamper Yourself

I used images and sentiment from the Rejuvenate set recently released by There She Goes to create this card. I really don't think much explanation is necessary, other than to say that I went a little pierce happy. (lol) Love that little rubber duckie image....makes me smile.

Well...have already been to the doctor's, excercised at the town hall pool, made a card.........and the day is still young. Tonight is the first of two nights of celebration of retirement for two dear teaching friends who will soon be joining my in retirement. I am so blessed with wonderful and supportive friends, both near and far!! Friendship really is the greatest gift!!!

May you be surrounded by friends, and may you have many reasons to laugh as you travel through your day!! I'm gonna go hug my pup!!!
