CCEE Stampers Enjoy Dessert

 

 

Vicky continues as our CCEE Stampers Challenge for June.  Here is her challenge for us....

 

Today is a day dedicated to the eating of Rocky Road Ice Cream, a dessert made from chocolate, marshmallows, nuts and chocolate, as well as an ice cream flavor!!!  Who wouldn't want to celebrate that!?!

Let's celebrate this popular ice cream by adding a dessert to our cards.  Use an ice cream cone, sundae or any other Rocky Road dessert  you can think of!

Let's get yummy!!!

I used an old favorite SU dessert set for my sundae image.  For me, this is a hot fudge sundae with chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla ice cream.  I did some piercing on two levels and used this fabulous plaid paper from Joanna Sheen.  Once again I forgot to write down the sentiment.  If you want to know the company ask in a comment and I'll get back to you.

CCEE'ers Enjoy Blueberries

Maryann, our hostess for May, is here again with her last CCEE Stampers Challenge for May,  Here is the challenge.....

According to the National date calendar,  today is National Blueberry Cheesecake Day.  Use this as your inspiration for this week's card/project. 

I have found a gap in my stamp collection.  I could find no blueberry images.  So......I brought out this older SU set and made the pie look like a blueberry pie.  I can honestly say that in hindsight I really think the sentiment is too big for the design, but I had no extra time to redo.....so it is what it is....lol.

Wine with the CCEE Stampers

Lynn is our CCEE Stampers Challenge for February.  Here is her challenge for this week.....

Who knew? In America, February 18 is National Drink Wine Day. Include a wine glass or bottle on today’s card in honor of this weird day!

This is a fairly simple card using one of my few stamps that have wine/drinks as a theme.  I apologize but I did not remember the company who makes it.  If you want to know just let me know in a comment.  The same foes for the sentiment.  Guess I was forgetful on the day I created this card.

CCEEers Go Wild for Chocolate

 
Frances is back as the hostess for the CCEE Stampers for January.  This is the challenge she gave us......

Who doesn't love chocolate cake! Did you know they even have a special day to celebrate this yummy treat! Chocolate Cake Day was the 27th January. Your cards this week should feature cake, bonus points if it is chocolate cake. 

I used a virgin die set from Spellbinders for my chocolate cake.  I am sorry, but I can't remember the company for the sentiment.  I embossed part of the bkgd. base with an embossing folder, added score lines at the top and bottom of the embossing, and finished it off with paper piercing at the top and bottom of the base card.

The CCEE Goes Wild for Cherries

This is Lois' last week as our September hostess for the CCEE Stampers Challenge.  She has a delicious one for us this week.  Here it is.....

Lois here with my last CCEE challenge.  To celebrate National Cherries Jubilee Day, I ask that you made a card with cherries on it; or, if you don't have any cherries, use any fruit.

I am sure that after this week goes by I will find out that I have lots of cherry stamps, however, at the time I was creating, this old SU stamp is the only cherry I could think of to use.  I also used some MS border punches, my piercing tools, and a few brads.

CCEEers Refresh with Lemonade and Lemons

 

 

 

Frances continues as our August hostess, and this is the challenge she has given for this week to the CCEE Stampers.

 

According to the Days of the Year web site today is Lemonade Day …. Let's celebrate by creating cards that features lemonade in some way. If you don't have anything Lemon or lemon related feature some other kind of beverage.

I used a very old set from SU.  I kept it clean and simple with some light coloring with my Copics.  I added a sentiment from MFT.  I also used a frame embossing folder.

CCEE Goes Crazy for Critters

Frances is our CCEE Stampers hostess for April.  This is her challenge for this week.....

Apparently the 26th of April is Hug an Australian Day! Who knew? ( and I, Frances,  am Australian!!!  LOL.  If you don't know any Aussies close by you can hug me, however we might need to rely on virtual hugs Haha! {{{{hugs}}}}. For our challenge this week use a cute critter that you think would be huggable … Bonus points if you use an animal native to Australia.

I did not have any Aussie critter stamps, so I went with cute.......however, as I type this I realize they might not be very huggable ......lol!!!  This stamp is from Penny Black.

CCEE Goes Wild for Snacks

Today, the second Thursday in March, is Popcorn Lover's Day.  Popcorn happens to be my favorite snack.  Tomorrow, March 14, is Potato Chip Day, another popular snack.  As the CCEE Stampers' hostess for March, I have based my challenge on snacks.  Be sure your card has some kind of a snack connection.

I do not have popcorn stamps, but I do have several ice cream stamps....another fav of mine.  This image is a retired SU stamp.

Apples for the CCEE Stampers

Lois is the CCEE Stampers hostess for this month.  This week she has challenged us to use APPLES in some way on our cards.  I have been trying, as much as possible, to use my challenge team projects to get cards done that I will actually need in the near future, so this week I went with a b'day card for a young man who will be turning 6 in January (I sincerely hope I got the age right...lol!!).  I went with a kind of school theme as he entered full day kindergarten this year......oh to be so young and innocent again.  Anyhoooooo.....the only stamping involved was the sentiment.  All the others are dps.

The CCEE Stampers Get Inspired

 

The challenge for the CCEE Stampers this week was to be inspired by a song.  I did not have a song in mind as I perused some old stamps.  When I came across the set with these grapes, I immedicately thought of Marvin Gaye's song "I Heard It Though the Grapevine'.  If you are not familiar with this oldie, click on this YouTube link to hear the song.

I used this old retired SU stamp along with a sentiment from (I think) Flourishes.  I again pulled out my crackle backgrounder, and did lots of sponging with a wild honey distress ink. In real life the vertical panel, which is embossed, matches better than it appears in this photo.  I also stamped a lacy border to the left of the purple vertical panel.  I added a ribbon/bow and some paper piercing as well.

In the Kitchen with the CCEE Stampers

 

The CCEE Challenge for today is a tasty one......well, it doesn't have to be tasty, but it must be related to  a kitchen.  I decided to use this SU stamp of a layered cake to make a birthday card.

 

I have a good feeling that the CCEE Blog is going to have a wide variety of kitchen related creations, and I just can't wait to see whet the rest of this fabulously talented and awesome DT have created.  Be sure to stop in at the blog.

CCEE1308 A Letter Challenge....Can you 'C'???

 

 

Frances is our hostess this month for the CCEE Stampers Challenge.  She asked us to make cards using as many elements starting with the letter "C".  At first I struggled with this and even had to put it aside.  Guess I was not in the mood to "C' my way through this challenge!!  But.....eventually I found a way to accomplish it.

 

Here are my C's........C is for.....cardstock, corner dies, circle doily, Certainly Celery cardstock, Chocolate Cardstock. chocolate ribbon, Peter Cottontail, circular chrome gems, cupcake, crinkled cupcake liner,crossed lattice dp, Copics, Cuttlebug cupcake sentiment.

Totally Stampalicious Goes to Pieces

Welcome to the Totally Stampalicious Monday Challenge.  This week the challenge is to use paper piecing.  On this image, I pieced the wine and the label with the same designer paper that I used in the background.

The Totally Stampalicious Monday Challenge is wide open this week.....Anything Goes!!!  I will generaly do a card, as many of the other wonderful things we can papercraft never seem to get used.  For this card I used the image and sentiment that make up the newly released TS set called Friends Wine.

The Totally Stampalicious Monday Challenge this week was to keep it simple -- few layers or embellishments.  I think you will agree that this Crabby Cathy card is a CAS one.

Crazy for The Greeting Farm

Okay.......you are going to soon find out that I made a major boo-boo this week.  It is a longggg story, but here is the short version.  I lost the fabulous image that The Greeting Farm  , our Crazy4Challenges sponsor, gave me to play with this week.  I looked and looked and almost gave up finding it.  After frustrating hours, I finally, in a roundabout and lucky way, found it.  I was so excited that I ran down to the stamp cave to make my card.....FORGETTING totally about what today's challenge was.....a color combo.......blue, pink, green, and yellow.  I am happy to say that totally by chance I have three of those colors on my card......along with others that were not on the list.  I just realized my mistake as I was writing this post, and I just do not have the time or the energy to go down and make another card in the next hour or so.......so.........I have an 'illegal' challenge card that at least used the image from our sponsor.
