Crazies Go to School
Jessie is our hostess for August. Here is her challenge for the Crazy4Challenge team AND YOU for this week
It’s back to school time, so make a treat for your kid going back to school, a present for their teacher, or anything back to school related.
I used a tiny set from Studio 112 to create this CAS/one layer card. I finished the edges with a frame embossing folder, after coloring the apple. Must say my Misti came in handy to get a crisp and very black image/sentiment print.
Be sure to check out the other school related creations at the Crazies Blog.

CCEE'ers Enjoy Blueberries
Maryann, our hostess for May, is here again with her last CCEE Stampers Challenge for May, Here is the challenge.....
According to the National date calendar, today is National Blueberry Cheesecake Day. Use this as your inspiration for this week's card/project.
I have found a gap in my stamp collection. I could find no blueberry images. So......I brought out this older SU set and made the pie look like a blueberry pie. I can honestly say that in hindsight I really think the sentiment is too big for the design, but I had no extra time to redo.....so it is what it is....lol.
Be sure to visit the CCEE Blog to see the deeeeelish blueberry/cheesecake creations by the rest of this fabulous and friendly DT.

It Is Sketch Week with the Crazies
This week's challenge is a sketch, given to us by our June Crazy4Challenges hostess,Danielle.
I went bright and summery with my interpretation of the sketch. I used a fabulous 'virgin' stamp set by Flourishes.called 'Wild for Watermelong'.
Take a moment to check out the various fabulous takes on this sketch on the Crazies Blog.

Going ODD with the CCEE
Today is Odd Day, so Lois asked us to use an odd number of something on our cards. I have one image, three words in my sentiment and three brads.
I used a stamp set by Craft's Meow. In real life, this is bright white, not muddy like it appears here.
Be sure to check out the 'odd' creations by the rest of the team at the CCEE Stampers Blog.

The CCEE Stampers Get Inspired
The challenge for the CCEE Stampers this week was to be inspired by a song. I did not have a song in mind as I perused some old stamps. When I came across the set with these grapes, I immedicately thought of Marvin Gaye's song "I Heard It Though the Grapevine'. If you are not familiar with this oldie, click on this YouTube link to hear the song.
I used this old retired SU stamp along with a sentiment from (I think) Flourishes. I again pulled out my crackle backgrounder, and did lots of sponging with a wild honey distress ink. In real life the vertical panel, which is embossed, matches better than it appears in this photo. I also stamped a lacy border to the left of the purple vertical panel. I added a ribbon/bow and some paper piercing as well.
Be sure to go to the CCEE Stampers Blog to see the cards inspired by music. You will also find details on how you can p lay along with us.

Hostess -- Silke Ledlow
Challenge -- Color Challenge (Pumpkin Pie, Wild Wasabi, Kraft, So Saffron, Black)

Challenge -- Color Challenge (Pumpkin Pie, Wild Wasabi, Kraft, So Saffron, Black)
We have a wonderful sponsor for this week and next -- Verve!!! Since they are one of my fav companies, I was thrilled to play with their stamps. I did have to substitute for the Wild Wasabi, and that is why I have olive on my card instead. Otherwise I was completely true to the colors of the challenge. I just love the sentiment AND the fact that I finally successfully used my TH flourish die cut.
Now be sure to go check out what should be a fabulous collection of Verve creations at the Crazies blog.
Hostess --
Challenge -- Buttons and Bows
I just love these berries from a set available at Mark's Finest Papers from the Speedy the Cat Designer Collection. The ribbon also comes from MFP. The border is by EK Success, and the Label die is from Spellbinders. Other than that I am sure you can see the process for this creation without a long description.
Be sure to go to the Speedy's Blog to see the creations of the rest of this fab team.
REMEMBER...you too can play along with both of these teams.
