Check Out the News with the CCEE
Lois, our CCEE Stampers hostess for September, asked us to use newsprint in our creations as today is Newspaper Carrier Day. I 'fudged' a bit. I used a background stamp of Chinese newsprint. This is a really simple card. I die cut the fern image and layered it over the Chinese newsprint image. Then I added a sentiment. I have been trying to make cards that are easily mailed with a single stamp. I am 'building' stashes of all occasion cards for holiday giving.
Be sure to visit the CCEE Stampers Blog to see the newsprint creativity of the rest of the team.

Love the newsprint peeking through the die cut
Oh, you were soooo clever, Joanne. I love the newsprint showing through the negative die cut. Brilliant, GF!
love the paper showing through the die cut - Maryann
Love this CAS and very unique way you made use of that Chinese newsprint. My favorite kind of card.
Sensational design with your Chinese newsprint behind your negative image fern! So very beautiful, Joanne!
Chinese newsprint -- brilliant! And the negative of your die cut looks wonderful with the piercing around the edge. Great card, Joanne!
I just love the use of the negative die, JOanne! Using the Chinese newsprint is wonderful!! Making cards easy to mail is in my future too!
I think this was my favourite card this week, Joanne! It's so clean and crisp and stylish. And, lol, if you hadn't said about the stamp and I'd looked more closely, I just assumed it was vertical print.
I'm planning to fudge one of the October challenges so I won't tell if you don't ;-).
Love your popped die cut leaf panel over the newsprint bkgrd! Looks terrific! :)
Beautiful card and it really does look easy...the kind we all like. :-) I didn't know there was a Newspaper Carrier Day. I guess there must be one for just about everything.
