CCEE'ers Get Out Their Stencils
I'm Back.............................
Frances is our CCEE Stamper's hostess for the month of April. This week she asked us to use stencils in the creation of our cards. I used an MFT sun stencil to create my image/bkgd. on the card. I sponged the inks onto the main panel. I added a sentiment 'flag' to the design. The sentiment was created with a Penny Black stamp.
Be sure to visit the CCEE Blog to see the fabulous creations made by the team members using stencils in some way.

CCEE1225 Masculine
This week's hostess is Kathy, and she challenged the CCEE Stampers to make masculine cards. Well, the son of a dear friend celebrates his birthday in June and this card was made with him in mind. He actually works with much more complicated tools than I had stamps of.....but I am sure he got a kick out of it anyway.
The stamps used are from SU. I embossed the bkgd. with a diamond plate folder.
I am hoping you have a minute or two to stop by the CCEE Stampers Blog to check out the masculine creations by the rest of this fabulous team.

The Crazies Are Thinkin' School!!!
Barbara is our Crazy4Challenges hostess with the mostest for the month of September. Since September usually means the start of school, we were to relate our cards to that subject. I used a set by Flourishes to complet my card, along with punches from EK Success. My Nesties were used for the image and its frame, and my Marvy scallop and regular corner rounders did the corners. I added pearls, piercing and a bow/ribbon. Including these three items also makes this card eligible for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge, which was a BINGO challenge.
Now be sure to check out the Crazies Blog to see all the fab creations by the rest of this fabulous team.
This second card is one I did for the Speedy's Friends Challenge this week which was to use bling. I used the poppies set from Mark's Finest Papers. This will be another in my stash going to a friend's daughter's women's ministry.
Sad to say that many of my friends are still without power after Hurricane Irene. For a storm that really had gone down to strong tropical storm status for part of the time it was here, it surely has left our state (and others) in a real mess. Schools have missed 5 days of school and it is still not guaranteed to start on Tuesday. Not a great way to start a school year!!! And again, I must say that the people of New Jersey and Vermont are in my prayers......they had such terrible flooding from the hurricane.

For the Totally Stampalicious Monday Challenge this week, we are using red and white in honor of Canada Day, to be celebrated on July 1. I used my set, Mr. Fix-It, for both my image and sentiment. Gus just cracks me up......and....how true is that sentiment???? We have lots of cases holding dead batteries in our house......sad to say!!!!
We hope you will play along with us. Check out the details and be inspired by the DT's creations at the Totally Stampalcious Blog.

Art Supplies from the He'art'
This card was done for today's Teapot Challenge on SCS. Da' Mudda challenged us to create framed cards. Our destination this week is a 6th grade girl in Canton, Ohio who is undergoing chemotherapy for ovarian cancer. She loves art so I thought this image from a Flourishes set would represent some of the art supplies she might use in her arts and crafts.
I created the 'frame' using my Nesties, corner punch, and paper cutter.
I have entered this into a Flourishes challenge to use the above listed cutting tools.
