Trees for the Birds and Cats

My title will not make any sense to anyone not playing in the Mudda's TeaPot Challenge on SCS today.  To read the whole story, go here or to SCS.  I couldn't possibly summarize the story...lol!!!

What I did was to make three cards all using the same image, but a different layout.  The image is by Penny Black, while the sentiment comes from an old SU retired set.  My favs are this first one and the second one.  I am not so sure about the third 'split negative' one.....somehow after splitting the panels, I thought the main part of the trees in black would be best, but it just didn't work......oh well....we can't have total success with each card.  However, in the long run it is one more card for the stash....lol!!!

My main goal was to create some fairly flat and clean holiday cards for the stash.  It is getting close to time for addressing and mailing, and I have not quite enough cards done.  Not really sure why.....but I am behind a bit.  At this point, I think I have about 10 more cards to make......and then I can relax a bit......at least I HOPE SO!!!!!

There is a Destination Station for this challenge, but I will be keeping these cards for my stash and sending another one to the destination.

If you have the time, and love to share your cards and creativity with others, you really should try joining this challenge.  We are a crazy and kiind group of stampers.

Joanne, these are so beautiful, I love the dramatic look with the white embossing. I don't know how your white is so white, mine usually isn't. I am so glad you are sending along a card for the teapot challenge, Lori (the one whose friend it is going to) is a good friend of mine, too! I will be playing later in the day tomorrow. Wonderful, and I love the split negative, too!!

These three (in our fav colors!) are fabulous, GF!! I don't know why you are not so fond of the split neg - I happen to like it!! Certainly, if one were to come to me, I wouldn't want to choose which one!! LOL! Great job.....again!! TFS!

P.S. What a kind person you are to send another to my Mom!! But I knew that!

All are so gorgeous and I believe these are done in your fav colors of red, black, and white. Love the split negative...no problem there.

Joanne, so wonderful to see those tree cards. I have just gotten this stamp, but alas it has had no ink yet! love your variations. It is a fabulous image. I especially like the split negative.

Hope you are finished with the holiday cards now.
