Stamping with a Purpose

For those of you who know of my computer woes, I am happy to say that the new computer has arrived and the basics are up and working.  However.....Windows 7 (which the new 'puter has) does not recognize some of my fav programs that I use daily, so my sister is still working on that...so I am still in the stampcave for my photographing/uploading.  Someday.........

Anyhooooooo......here is the card I made for today's Teaparty on SCS.....our destination is a young boy who has cancer and is undergoing treatment and probably will miss trick or treating....so our cards are bringing Halloween to him.

The image is from the BROOM RIDES set from the Speedy the Cat Collection available at Mark's Finest Papers.  The sentiments are from a Martha Stewart stamp set which I am now happy noone bought at the 'get rid of your excess craft supplies' sale on Saturday.  I am happy to say that I made enough to pay for the new computer........however.....it was supposed to be 'play' money, so in that way I am disappointed.  Oh well......guess it all works out in the end!!!!!

Had a fabulous breakfast 'meeting' with several friends today.  One of our group is heading to California for the winter so it was a goodbye for her as well as a good reason for laughs and friendly chatter.  (Carol, if you are reading this, you were missed!!!)

This is such a great Halloween card and the recipient will love it!! I hear you on your computer woes! I hate when they make good programs obsolete just to sell new ones! No wonder Bill Gates is a billionaire! LOL We had a lightning hit Monday that blew a clock off the wall, but at the same time fried 2 TV's and the CD player. Oh the joy of it all........sigh
