Going to the Dogs with a Sketch!!!!

Am so happy to say that once again my two fabulous Thursday challenge teams, the CCEE and the Stampin B's , allowed me to make one card for both challenges.  It so totally rocks when life is busy!!!  I apologize for the dull picture.  I just could not get a bright photo, despite several tries!
Well....I was hostess for this week's Stampin B's challenge and I had a seasonal challenge.  We are now into the dog days of August, which, here in CT, means HOT and HUMID and even more HUMID!!!  So I asked the team to make cards related to dogs.  My card uses this adorable image by Penny Black.  I (once again) forgot to check on the company for the sentiment, but just ask in your comment and I'll get back to ya'!

The fabulous Tosh was the hostess for the CCEE and she gave us this sketch to work with.  Sketches are absolutely my FAV challenge, but this one gave me pause.......but, I muddled through and finally made this card.

I made mine an A-2 version of the sketch rather than the elongated original.

Now I hope you have a bit of time to go check out the work of these TWO fabulous challenge teams.  Here are the links to get to the team blogs and from there, or my sidebar, you can get to the blogs of the individual members....all fabulously stunniing stampers!!!

In keeping with the theme of my card I thought I would share a picture with you.  This summer we have had a weekend guest.  My sister offered to dogsit for this little chihuahua which was a challenge, because our Pepper HATES any critter with four legs.  I mean full out barking and growling if he is in 100 yards or so of any four-legged critter.  Well....never would I believe that my sister could manage to get  Pepper to accept another dog in our house.....but it actually happened.  By the end of the visits they roamed freely and happily with one another.  Bentley (the chihuahua) is on the leash because he would be able to slip through our fence.  Pepper on the other hands is stout and would not have that problem...lol!!!!  Pepper is a Cairn terrier like Toto in the Wizard of Oz.  Aren't they both cutie patooties?????

Love your card, it has a dog on it. :) I also love your colors and the fantastic paw print border. Thanks for sharing the picture of the doggies. Pepper now has a new playmate and it looks like he is loving it.

Oh My Gosh! First of all, WHERE did you find that paw print punch??!! It's awesome!! This dog image is adorable!! Your card is just as cute as the dickens and so is this photo! I had 2 chihuahua's and they're fearless of larger dogs in spite of their size! This little chi looks like he's ready to attack! LOL!! So glad they made friends in the end though, and TFS! CUTE!

I am lovin' every last detail on your adorable card, my friend. That paw print punch totally rocks, and your pooch image is so cute. What fun to see cutie-patootie Pepper hanging out with this little Chi. They both are adorable, but I just love the looks and size of Cairn terriers. Does Pepper like humans? Does he like to ride in bicycle baskets? Does he know Dorothy?

Real cute card Joanee, I've used that image from my SIL in the past and it's a fun one. Nice color combo!

Such a cute pair of pooches, Pepper is areal cutie and reminds me of our Westie who left us years ago. He too was a stout little guy.
Thanks for the sharing!
