Stampin B's (Neutrals) and an ISC Sneak Peek (Picturesque)

Well.......first let me say that if ever there was a stamp I would hold onto for dear life, this is the one......well, tomorrow's sneak peek might be a tie for it (lol)!!! Those of you who pay attention to the pictures in my banner and along the sidebar know that I LOVE the ocean, or really any large body of water. I truly find peace and serenity near the shore. Have spent very young days on the beach at Misquamicut Beach in Rhode Island, thanks to my family who went there regularly throughout my childhood. We also rented cottages/apts. at Hampton Beach, New Hampshire as I grew up. And my adulthood,.....well, most vacations have been at the beach, gazing at a beach/shore, or on an island (Bermuda, Aruba,Japan, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico). I say this to let you know that I KNOW the beach/shore in a personal and calming way. This says BEACH to me. Anyhoo....enough about my love affair with the ocean......and this stamp!!!

Now for the official stuff.......the name of the set is PICTURESQUE. It imcludes this image and 5 sentiments (Enjoy the stillness of nature's beauty ..........Full of wonder ..............Be still ......escape .....An oasis). The officially release date is Monday, July 13 from Innovative Stamp Creations.......and did I tell you how much I LOVE it!!!

On the first card I used a variety of Yellow Bicycle cardstock, a clear gel pen, a mint colored buckle along with some small black brads and some fabulous footprint twill I got at my LSS.

The second card made with the PICTURESQUE set is for the Stampin B's challenge for this week. Nancyruth was our hostess and she wanted us to make our card using only neutrals. I colored my image with various earthtones with my Copic markers, and colored the water with a very light cool gray. I used Creamy Caramel cardstock, along with vanilla (background), white (image), and black. I used a shell I bought at a store in Perkins Cove, Maine last week when I was there for several days of rainy ocean gazing. But, ya know what.......any day spent near the ocean is a good day even if it is wet and COLD!!!

Be sure to check in each day for more sneak peek reveals, a blog hop on Monday, and a specially priced kit being showcased on Tuesday.

Now be sure to check out the other Creative Architects and their reveals. If you are not sure who and where, just go to my sidebar and you should find links to their blogs.

Have a fantabulousistic day!!!

Oh My GOSH!! My jaw hit the floor when I saw these cards today! Both are magnifico!! I think this is probably the most perfect stamp of the ocean that I've ever seen, and the way you colored both of them is just incredible and AMAZING! Beautiful work indeed!! BRAVO!

These are both beautiful, calm scenes, Joanne. I'm not really a beach person (that is, I don't like to go to the beach -- even though I live in Florida), but I LOVE to look at the beach and the ocean. I love the shell on the second card -- and the footprints on the twill is marvelous!

Both of these are just fantastic, Joanne! I love the blues on the first one and the natural tones on the second. Love the starfish and cb bg. I grew up in a beach town and I can understand why you love it so much.
