On Thursday I showed you a CAS (clean and simple) card with the Australian Daisy sheet from Innovative Stamp Creations. Today I thought I'd show you how you can make a layered card using that same sheet of stamps. In this case, I used two of the three Australian Daisy images, in graduated sizes. I then cut them out and added some gold microbeads at the center. (Unfortunately a few have come off.....but, even Mother Nature is not perfect.) Must thank my Inspiration Station friend, Kerry (kerry2) for that idea!!! I used an SU die for the larger leaves and a Martha Stewart branch punch for the smaller ones. The oval on the envelope is another stamp from the sheet, along with the two sentiments used here (and there are others). To make the tag I used the SU ticket corner punch and the SU oval punch along with some brads. I place the tag inside a dp-covered die cut envelope. I added the three mini buttons and the Heidi Swapp ghost heart to finish that part of the card. The dp used is all by Little Yellow Bicycle. It may seem a bit complicated when I try to describe it, but it is actually a fairly easy card to make. And,.....in my humble opinion, it is a bit on the dramatic side.
On the weather front....we started frigid this morning....some areas in the 40's, but because the SUN came out it was really a wonderful day. Tomorrow, unfortunately, thunderstorms are supposed to return. Yuck!!!
Have a great late evening and a wonderful day tomorrow.
(By the way.....I teased you yesterday about another set beach/ocean/water lovers would covet....which was the card I was planning to show today (for Saturday)........but I changed my mind and am holding it for another day.....but my fellow beach lovers....it will be worth the wait!!!!!)
