Coffee Break Retirement

Just in case you can't read the computer generated sentiment, it says.....

"The worst thing about retirement is........having to drink coffee on your own time!!!"

Our OLD FART'S CLUB has two members retiring this year. My assignment for one of the parties was to create the cards. When I do this, I try to make them personalized for the recipient. In this case, the card is for my very dear friend Marlene. Marlene is the 'salt of the earth', just one of the sweetest ladies you could ever meet. Besides her family, Marlene LOVES chocolate and coffee. So I used coffee as her 'theme'. Marlene is a very dedicated and much loved primary teacher. I don't want you to think she was slacking off because she liked her coffee. Inside I invite her to join us in retirement, the world's longest coffee break!!!

Any how.....this is the retirement card for one of the parties this week. Hope she likes it!!!

Look at the colors on this, they are gorgeous! And the scalloped edge at the bottom, so elegant yet fun.

Are you sure you don't have Marlene confused with Charlene? You know Charlene loves coffee and chocolate, too, and she is most desirous of being retired. Oh...that must be the distinction. Marlene IS retired. Marlene is lucky to have you for a friend and to be the recipient of this beautiful card!
