The CCEE Stampers 'LEAP' in Time

Hello, Joanne here with the CCEE Stampers last challenge of 2015.  We will be taking a short break before returning in the New Year on January 7th.  So at this time we would all like to extend our wishes for a wonderful holiday season.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!!!

So.....here is this week's challenge.....

Did you know? There are occasional "Leap Seconds" added to the official year. They help to correct minor variations in time. On December 31, 2015, the folks who maintain the official time for the planet, will add an extra second to the day!  To honor this, the challenge for this week is to incorporate time into your card…..a clock, a calendar, a date, a watch, etc.

I went simple with this one, but it still gave me angst.  I really wanted the sentiment panel to be black and the sentiment in white.  No matter how many times I tried to heat emboss it in white on black, the powder did not melt properly.  I am not sure why, but after 6 attempts I went to plan B which I am not really happy with, but 'time' was running out.  I used a clock embossing folder which you may not be able to tell from this lousy picture.  I also used an MFT (I think) sentiment including reference to time.  I used a MS punch, and not so sure I should have........oh well.....it is done......and now I must concentrate on holiday cards.......I almost have 20 made.....I only need 70 more.....HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, be sure to go to the CCEE Blog to see the timely creations of the DT.....they will inspire you, for sure.......

Your Plan B worked just fine! I actually need to replace my detail white embossing powder. I think it's getting old. Glad you've been able to make some Christmas cards. Have a wonderful Christmas, my friend!

For the first time ever I had problems this week with white powder clumping and not melting properly. I sympathise...but without knowing what your plan A had been, I think Plan B looks great.

Love the colour scheme, the first thing I noticed is the paper piercing, in my eyes you are the paper piercing queen love it. I like how all of us have used the clock is so many different ways.
