CCEE Stampers -- Influenced by Books

Frances is our April hostess for the CCEE Stampers challengeThis is her challenge.....

Today is National Librarian Day, so for our challenge this week use a book as your inspiration …. Children's or Adults.

I have been a voracious reader since childhood.  I have read many genres of books.  Currently I am enjoying mystery/thriller/detective type of books.  One I read a bit ago was Storm Front by John Sanford.  I used that as the inspiration for this sympathy card.

I used an Impression Obsession 6x6 block stamp for the clouds, a Hero Arts sentiment stamp, and a tree die.

Be sure to stop at the CCEE Blog to check out the reading habits AND talents of the rest of this fabulous team.

I love reading Mystery/thriller/detective types also. I will have to look out for this one.

I have such trouble making realistic clouds! I may have to track this stamp down and add it to my collection! What a beautiful card of sympathy with this lone tree! Awesome work, Joanne!

I read a lot too, and mysteries are my favorite.....I have read all of his books, and though some of them are better than others, I enjoy them as well. I love the stark look of your card.........fabulous bg!! Hope you are getting better. You are too nice a person to not be WELL!

What a great sky -- I thought for sure that those clouds were on patterned paper! Lovely card and great depiction of a Storm Front.

This is the first book (as I work down the blog page) that I am not familiar with - but for sure you have created a fabulous stormy sky here, Joanne.
