CCEE Challenge -- CCEE1403

Sabrina, the CCEE Stampers hostess for January, has given us a poem to use as our inspiration.
Her challenge is to make a card inspired by any of the images in the poem - mossy window sills, a flight of birds, the moon, trees, maple leaf, grasses in the wind...any other picture you take from the poem.

Ars Poetica by Archibald MacLeish

A poem should be palpable and mute
As a globed fruit,

Dumb
As old medallions to the thumb,

Silent as the sleeve-worn stone
Of casement ledges where the moss has grown—

A poem should be wordless
As the flight of birds.
*
A poem should be motionless in time
As the moon climbs,

Leaving, as the moon releases
Twig by twig the night-entangled trees,

Leaving, as the moon behind the winter leaves,
Memory by memory the mind—

A poem should be motionless in time
As the moon climbs.
*
A poem should be equal to:
Not true.

For all the history of grief
An empty doorway and a maple leaf.

For love
The leaning grasses and two lights above the sea—

A poem should not mean
But be.

Be sure to visit the CCEE Stampers Blog to see the various ways in which the DT members were inspired by this poem.  We would love for you to play along with us.  The team blog will have details on how you can share your creations with us.

Gorgeous colors, wonderful layout!! Your piercing continues to baffle me.....I need to see you and get a lesson!! When DH goes to UConn to start a track meet, maybe we can get together?

That is one fabulous bare tree stamp! I'm really enjoying the moon and tree cards - because I remember half freezing to death when I set this once as a photo challenge. Much easier to have the moon rising through bare branches on a card than it is to get a good photo.
It's a lovely sentiment to use, too - I hope you're practicing it on yourself :D.

Joanne, this is absolutely beautiful. I love that big moon making its way from behind the tree (or maybe going behind it). :-)

This reminds me of the moon last night. As I was getting in the card, I spotted it coming up, big and bright, behind a tree in our back yard. What a beauty!
