Vicky, as our August hostess, has completed the monthly CCEE Stampers Challenges with a technique challenge. We were to use the cracked glass technique on our cards. Now, I must admit that cracked glass seems to be a technique that I have mixed results with. Sometimes it works perfectly and other times (like today) it is very challenging. I actually think the weather has something to do with it....the humidity is very high today, and despite doing 4 layers of Utee (thick embossing powder) I had to work at getting any cracks in my cracked glass. Then, because the cracks were very fine, they did not really take the distress 'soot' ink I tried to use to make them stand out. Oh well......it really is a fabulous technique and I do love the results when the cracking really shows.

I agree about the humidity affecting the look of this technique. I can never get mine to work well. Your poinsettia is beautiful, set off very nicely with the background DP.
Well, this certainly is a beauty to add to your "stash", GF!!! I think your cracked glass turned out beautifully!
Oh, but Joanne, your cracking looks perfect to me. I think you could be onto something with the humidity, though. I used to skip the freezing stage until I realised it helped me achieve more consistent results. I love the rich colours in this and that dp is a fab setting for the poinsettia.
This is a technique I really love but rarely try. I'm thinking yours looks great and that poinsettia is really popping. It's a beautiful card, Joanne.
