The CCEE'ers Are Around the Block

Sabrina once again issued the CCEE Stampers a technique challenge.  We were to use blocking.  The style she wanted us to use was blocking with paper, not just stamps.  I sort of broke the rules a bit as I did not use a variety of colors.  Instead, I stamped background patterns on various pieces and the large sentiment on a last piece.  However, my blocking is in the correct style.  I used a new flower die I have from Memory Box along with some black bling.  I'm not sure why I don't use paper blocking more often as I do love the simple drama of that style.

So....now it is time to visit the CCEE Blog and see what my fellow 'blockheads' created.

You don't have to apologize for using all blue -- that's exactly what I did! I like your card just as it is. And your flower is gorgeous!

Wow, I didn't know color blocking could look so stunning. I love the two colors.

Beautiful!!! Why couldn't I think of something like this? I was just drawing a blank all around! But you... awesome card.

Definitely the right style, and definitely gorgeous, Joanne! The different patterns make a lovely foil for the contrast of the black flower (amazing! It reminds me of a Victorian filigree brooch I have) and bling, and gives it a lovely crisp, clean look.
