Happy Thanksgiving and some challenges to share

Tosh's countdown continues for the CCEE Stampers Challenge this week.  Our challenge was to make a ONE LAYER card.  I went right away to my drawer of big block stamps.....an easy way to make a one layer card.  A lot of masking was involved, but it really was an fun experience as I hadn't played with this 5 block pattern for a long time.  I used my fav snowflake backgrounder for the images.  I added some brads and paper piercing and that was about it.....I had truly made a one layer card I was extremely happy with...........

UNTIL...........I came up from the stamp cave and dropped the card on the desk in the kitchen, right near the Keurig.........can you guess what happened........well......whoever made coffee last (to be honest, probably ME!) had left a few drops of coffee on the counter.  The front corrners of my card absorbed the coffee quite efficiently......so....what was I to do.....yep, I love the card, but, nope, I did not want to relive the experience....

SO.....I cheated......I cute out the 5 block CLEAN part and glued it to a new base.  So, to be honest it no longer is a ONE layer card..........that is my sad story.......but please know that originally is was LEGAL!!!

Now go to the CCEE Blog to see some fabulous one layer LEGAL cards.

This card is one I made for the MFT Sketch Challenge this week.  The image and sentiment are from MFT.

This card was made for the Color Challenge on SCS this week.  The stamp is by I Brake for Stamps.

This card was made for the Sketch Challenge on SCS this week.  The stamp is from SU and the poinsettias were created using a Spellbinder die set and a Martha Stewart fern punch.

This last card was done for both the Sketch Challenge and the Color Challenge on SCS this week.  I forgot to write down the name of the sentiment stamp.  I 'think' the climg stamp of the snowmen is by Penny Black, but I am not sure of that.

If you have gotten this far, I thank you for taking the time.  I also wish you and yours the Happiest of Thanksgiving Days.

You have been very busy creating these beautiful cards, Jo! Each one is terrific. Sorry about your coffee incident; I would've done the same kind of rescue. I hope your Thanksgiving out was good!

Joanne, these cards are all so beautiful. Of course, I love snowmen so my heart goes pitter patter when I see those. Gosh, I have done the exact same thing as you did with your snowflake card. It is just awesome...one layer or not.
Your snow day and poinsettia cards are just the best, too. Wow! You are churning out some beauties.
