A Challenging Thursday

Did you know that June 15th is  Fly a Kite Day to celebrate the anniversary of Ben Franklin’s kite experiment in 1752. Frances, our CCEE Stampers' June hostess. has challenged us today to include a kite on our cards.

I took the easy way out on this one....this is dp from one of the summer themed packets (forgot to write down the name...sorry!!)  I stamped Ketto's Dolly from Bella Stamps on white cardstock, colored with Copics, and then cut her out.  Attached her with foam tape and added three red brads and some piercing and that was that....EASY PEASY!!!!

Now, after checking out the rest of this post, be sure to go to the CCEE Blog to check out the KITE creations from the rest of this fabulously talented and friendly team.

Vicki D. is our Stampin B's hostess this week.  She challenged us to use a border punch.  I used a Fiskar's combined border/corner punch to create the white back layer.  The image is from the newly released Poppies, Poppies, Poppies set from Mark's Finest Papers.

The Stampin B's Blog should be a punchwork of beauty this week with the fabulous creations of this creative and inspiring team.  Be sure to check them out.

On a personal note......the last of the teachers/staff that are part of our Old Fart's Club is retiring this year.  Last night we had an Old Fart's celebration for her.  What a wonderful circle of friends we are so lucky to have in our lives!!!  We don't always seem to get together as a whole group, but when we do, what a MARVELOUS time we have!!!

What perfect dp you have for this challenge and such a cute card to boot, JoJo! I love your stunning poppies card, too, and how you used the lace-like white bg over your black cs.
I'm glad you had fun with your friends! I'm meeting our ol' farts club this morning for breakfast!

Joanne, how cool that you used your border and corner punch to create that white background layer. So fancy! Creative use of punches, too. :)
