Two Challenges -- Two Cards, too!!!!! (plus 1)

Emily is our hostess this week for the Stampin B's.  She challenged us to create a card using green, texture, irridescence, and something starting with an 'F'.  I have it all covered.  I have lots of green, I used an SU embossing folder as well as a CB dots embossing folder, I added Irridescent Ice embossing powder to the centers of the flowers, my items that start with 'F'.  AND....other than the sentiment, no stamps were harmed in the making of this card.  I colored this fab designer paper with my Copics.  I used one of my new fancy Spellbinders' dies (gosh they are fabulous!).  I added some paper piercing and ...VOILA.....easy peasy and done!!!!

Now check out the outstanding work of the rest of the team by visiting the Stampin B's Blog.

I am entering this into the My Mum's Craft Shop Challenge to use die cuts.

Shirley is our hostess for the CCEE Stampers Challenge this month, and she has informed us that May 12 is Fudge Nutty Day.  So we should be seeing lots of chocolate, nuts, and such on our creations.....a deeeeelish gallery for sure.  I always enjoy 'chocolate' being a topic as it gives me a good reason to visit' my fun chocolate phrases.......can't seem to see one I don't hafta buy....lol!!!!!  I used a simple one this time......!!!!

So.......be sure to stop in at the CCEE Stampers Blog....I am sure there will be some delicious work by this talented bunch of nuts!!!!!

AND.....finally, this was the card I created for this week's Sketch Challenge on SCS.  I just LOVE this silhouette set from Flourishes!!  Silhouettes rock!!!!  I am also using this for this week's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge.   Betty left the field wide open with her "anything goes" theme.  I am also entering this into the Color Throwdown which was to use so saffron, rose red, and aqua.  The saffron and red were used in the creation of my sun.

All three cards are eligible for Crafty Creations 'anything goes' challenge.

I haven't taken a minute lately to thank everyone who stops by to check out what's happening on my blog AND in my life.  I continue to swim about three mornings a week (not that I am losing any weight or inches from my very plump body).  I am thoroughly entertained by my two four-legged 'kids'.......Pepper, my Cairn terrier, will soon be 8 years old, and Angel, my rescue pup, will be 6 months old soon (and she is fully recovered from her surgery and flying through the backyard like the wind).  Like Angel, time sure does fly!!!!  In the greater sense of that, I can't believe that as of next month, I will have been retired for 5, yes FIVE, years already!!!!  It seems like only yesterday that I walked out of school with the last remnents of my 35 years of teaching in the same school.  I still miss some of the people (staff and students), but I certainly don't miss the 'politics' of the administration and parents OR the constant planning, correcting, grading!!!! Now, I spend my hours stamping or reading or relaxing or playing with the pups or with friends.......and other such wonderful activities.

Well...have a fabulous day, and may you find someone or something to smile about today and everyday!!!!

Yummers, does that ice cream cone look delicious! It's only 11:00 a.m., and you've got me wanting an ice cream cone! Your Stampin' B's card is gorgeous, too. Time does fly by fast, my friend. I can't believe I've been retired for 5 months already.

Yum, can we all go for a ice cream cone like that one? I love the colors you chose and the border. The chocolate bow is pretty and really sets off the card.
