Spotlighting and Silhouettes

Today's Speedy's Friends Challenge was issued by Geri, and she wanted us to make a card/project in which we spotlighted on an animal.  I used the Lady Bugs and Carnations set by Mark's Finest Papers.  I love the spotlight technique and really should use it more often.  There are so many possibilities.  I also used my Copics, my Nesties, a border punch by Martha Stewart, and an embossing folder for the background.  A touch a piercing and bling set it off.

Now please be sure to visit the Speedy's Friends post on the MFP Blog to see the other animals spotlighted by this fabulously creative team.

Silke Kittmann is our hostess for the Crazy4Challenges this week, and she created a fabulous sketch for us to use.  I used this fabulous silhouetted image from Flourishes.  I 'just had to have this set' and yet it has remained a 'virgin' for a long while.  Well, that has ended today.  I am also going to enter this into the Flourishes weekly challenge as it was to use an uninked, unused image before today.  I also used my corner rounder, a MS border punch, my piercing tools, Prima Flowers, SU round punches, embossing folder, and black pearls.
If you are like me and can't wait to see what outstanding creations the Crazies made with this sketch, be sure to visit our blog.  You can also use my sidebar to visit the blogs of the individual members of both these fabulous teams.
