Blog Hop Enticement and Tea Party Challenge

This card uses an image from the newly released set from Mark's Finest Papers called JUST DANDY.  There are several sentiments and images included in this set.....very versatile and a go-to type of set.  To see many more creations using this set, you need to hop along to the Mark's Finest Papers Blog to get started on today's blog hop.  All the details about what you could 'win' are also found there.

So......get hopping HERE!!!

This is my card for today's Tea Party challenge.  'Da Mudda's' story dealt with 'dancing' so I went with this sweet little critter in her tutu and showing some dancing skills.  Our destination this week is a happy one......we are honoring Rox for all she does to keep the Sketch Challenge on SCS rockin' for the rest of us.

I chose to play with a new technique which I finally had time to do for the first time this week.  It is called Bargello Design and was a technique challenge on SCS, with a tutoriial by my cyberfriend, Joan Ervin.  This time I cut my 'design' on the diagonal, rather than the box I did HERE.  This technique is so cool and really very easy to do....with such dramatic results.  I also used my CB to dry emboss the bkgd., did some piercing, and used a couple of brads and a Prima rose.

So....if you have some time to play.....be sure to check out the SCS Challenges.  They will inspire you in your creative process.

On a personal note I am very happy to say that almost all of the snow is our yard is FINALLY gone.  YIPPEE!!!!

wow...great paper piercing! There was a time that nearly all my cards were pierced. I think I better get back to it once in a while!

Ooh, the purple and green is delish on the dandelion card. Your little dancer is such a sweetie and I love the Bargello design on the diagonal. Yummy Prima, too.
So happy for you that the 'white stuff' is almost gone.
