Thursday Challenges AND a Hop Notice (again)

First......The CCEE Stampers are going WILD this week.......WILD with the shapes of their cards.  Frances challenged us to create cards that were not rectangular or square.  I think I managed to meet that criteria.

The sweet image I used is by Penny Black.  I have invested in a few stamps with this cutie, so you may be seeing her pretty regularly on my blog.  Now, to see the other fabulous WILD cards you must travel to the CCEE BLOG.  However, please finish seeing the rest of this post first, okay???

This second card is my card for the Stampin B's Challenge which was issued by Faith.  We were to use a die cut.
I used the just released PRETTY PANSIES set by Mark's Finest Papers to create the card, along with a Spellbinder's Labels die and a Martha Stewart punch.  I am in love with these pansies......truly!!!  At the Stampin B's Blog you will get to see the rest of the creations by the DT.  BUT WAIT.....I have one more for you......

The third and last card was created as an enticement for you to go on a blog hop.
This rather simple card shows you one image and one sentiment from the very versatile set called SEW WHAT by Marks Finest Papers.  As a matter of a fact, YOU could be a winner by participating in the DT's blog hop going on right now.  You will need to go to Mark's Finest Papers Blog to get all the details and to begin HOPPINGGood Luck!!!

Had to edit to add a couple of pics I took today WHILE SHOVELING.......

I had to try to find some beauty in the snowstorm that had me shoveling a good part of the day.  We have a Japanese maple 'bush' (really a small tree) in our front yard.  It overhangs the driveway we were shoveling, so I took a couple of shots in the branches.  The first one I am sharing is in natural coloring, but the second one I edited with a sepia tone, and I just love it.

You may be seeing that one behind a sentiment on a card in the future.

Wow Joanne - busy day for you! Love all of these projects. I am hopping on the MFP hop and I absolutely love what you have done with those scissors! I love the scissors anyway, but your card is just stunning. Love the pansies too!

awesome cards as always Joanne ... sorry you had to shovel

Beautiful cards and your layouts are great. Hope you got less snow than you were expecting. Dumb snow, doesn't it know to only snow in the yard so shoveling is not necessary? Stay warm.

Wow where to start - so full of fabulousness -- I have to say that sepia photo was pretty darn amazing - would make for an excellent bg on a card for sure!!

Awwwww! Your Penny Black image is so cute, and I love the pink snowflakes, SnoSnot!! Great job with the angle card; it's beautiful! Your other two cards are pretty, too, but the CCEE card takes the cake for me!! It's snowing here right now as I gaze upon your awesome snow photos; the sepia tone does look really cool.

I don't envy you your snow! Your cards, on the other hand, are all wonderful. The different shape of your first card is quite interesting, and the two MFP cards are very pretty. I love the pansies, and the silver embossed background on the other one looks great! Good job all around, Joanne.

Three fabulous creations, Joanne! Love the sweet little girl and the design of the first. Those flowers are just beautiful and so beautifully colored! The third elegant in it's subtle colors and design. Beautifully done. Thanks for sharing the beauty of the snow! We only got about 3 inches.

Again, I come to your blog and just drool...WOW, girl...all three of your cards are over the top gorgeous!!!! The sweet little PB image on the first card is sooo cute and what a great shape!!! Love the pansies, colors, and how you cut off the ends of the Nesties shape on the second one and the elegance of the third really caught my eye!!! Stay warm, Joanne, and I'll be looking for the beautiful winter picture on a card!!

All three of these cards are beautiful! I just love how you create the slightest mat around your punched borders like the pansy card! It's so pretty.......and so are the photos you took! I love the sepia tones too, and can visualize a pretty red cardinal perched on one of those branches!

Those are beautiful cards, Joanne. From your different shaped card, to the yummy colored pansies, and the 'to die for' scissor image card, I am so impressed. Great work. For sure, that photo of the tree laden with snow would make a most beautiful card. Can't wait to see it.
