Weekend Wrap-up!!! (plus today's Tea Party)

I had a few moments in the stamp cave this weekend, and I have a few cards to share as a result of that......

This first one was done for the Mini-VSN held Friday night at SCS.  The challenge was to make a card based on two of the colors of your favorite country or place.  Well, this is red and white to honor a few countries dear to me.  Uppermost, of course, is our own country.  It also reflects the countries of my grandparents, with my mother's family from Canada and my father's family from Poland.  (Both courtries which I am happy to say I have visited.)  It also honors the country to which I made my once-in-a-lifetime trip.....the fabulous country of Japan.  All of these countries share red and white in their flags.

The stamps I used are a set which will be released soon by Mark's Finest Papers.

This second card was also for the Mini-VSN on SCS......This challenge was to think about the movies, especially drive-in movies.  Well, I went with the movie theme and represented the movie The Witches based on Roald Dahl's book of the same name.  In my last few years of teaching I would read this book to my students in October and then we would share the movie as well.

The stamps used on this card are from an old SU set.  AND.....I am just LOVING my new deep edge spiderweb punch.....fab, eh????

This third card is from today's Tea Party challenge.  To read da Muddamark's whole story, click HERE.  I chose this image because of her petticoat and crinoline beneath her dress would be perfect for theis challenge.

This image is by Penny Black.

Wishing you all a great end to your day.
