Back from Coastal Maine -- The Way Life Should Be Everyday!!

As you can see......I am back from visiting one of my favorite places in the world!!  This is my annual photo taken at Cape Neddick, affectionately called NUBBLE LIGHT, in York, Maine.  I love being anywhere near the ocean, but Nubble has a very special place in my heart and in my treasured memories.

It was nice to spend time with dear friends, do a bit of shopping, some sightseeing, and some good eatin'.  We visited with Maine friends we've made through the 'about' 40 years that we have been taking this trip.

We added a new sidetrip or two this year.  One was to Flo's Hot Dog stand on Route 1.  The experience had been described to us as kind of like the soup incident on Seinfeld, but Flo was not there, and her daughter was a sweetheart.  (There is a very specific way you place your order......) Their 'special' is a hot dog served with Flo's Special relish and mayo, so we had to try it.

We also drove to the highest point in the area....to Mount Agamenticus.....now don't laugh........it was......are you ready for this......690 feet high......but the cool thing was that it was a clear day we could see Mt. Washington from there.  You might have heard of Mt. Washington......as it has some of the most severe winter weather/temps/wind in the country.

Anyhoo......I am back, but I just know I am not going to be able to totally catch up on what you have all been up to for the last several days.....but....I'll try to take a glance or two.  I hope to get stamping tomorrow.

Hugs,
Joanne/jojot

Welcome home.....Did I ever tell you you look good near the Ocean? Well, I know I did but you probably didn't hear me or you were pre-occupied with your ear stuck in that big ole seashell trying to hear the ocean!

What a lovely picture! I am so happy you are back after getting your "fix"!
