Faith is our hostess this week for the Stampin B's, and she challenged us to make a card using red and green, with the twist of something round on the card. Her inspiration was the phrase, 'an apple a day'. I ended up taking that to heart and made an apple card with my fav apple image from SU. I also used my linen backgrounder from SU to give an aged quality to the card. Unfortunately, I also sponged some panels......I say unfortunately because I ended up with a smudge on the main panel....oh well.....guess that is a true sign of 'age'....lol!!!!
Shirley, our hostess with the mostest this month for the CCEE challenge, gave us a fabulous sketch to work with this week. Once I was able to get the 'curves' going, it ended up bein a fun sketch to work with.
I used a fabulous new set from Mark's Finest Papers for the image. I just love this carnation and butterfly. Very cool and can be used with so many different color combos.
Now you really must stop in to the blogs of these two fabulous challenge teams. You truly will be dazzled!! And.....we hope you will be enticed to play along with us. Remember, we do not mind if you combine challenges. We want you to play, play, PLAY!!!!

gorgeous cards Joanne
Great challenges and wonderful resulting cards! Love the warm colors on the apple card, but that curvy sketch card is amazing! Love the punched corners and awesome coloring!
Joanne, both of your cards are gorgeous!!! I really love the first one...so perfectly distressed and that little smudge as you call it...gives it a feel of being very old..you know when you have an old picture or something and something else leans against it...it leaves a little bigger mark on it...that is what your panel looks like and is awesome!!! TFS these BEAUTIES!! Hugs, Sabrina
BEAUTIFUL Jo!!
They are both beautiful, JoJo! I love that large polkadotted embossing folder with the three word window punches with brads draped over it and the colors are so rich (is this a run-on sentence, teach????) LOL! Terrific job with Shirt's sketch design, too; the scrolly punch thingie really adds to the overall design and piercing.
Wonderful cards, Joanne...I love the distressing on the first, and look at that apple, it looks real!!
And the second is like eye candy, so much to take in and feels like summer!!
Hope you are having a good day!!
Get out! The cards are so different and so rich looking, Joanne! The top one is divine and fabulously detailed! The second one just soft and beautifully done. Love the corner accenting! Lovely cards!
Jo, both cards are fabulous. I like the red large dots and the vintage look you gave the first card.
On the second card, I like how you changed the shape of the circles, love the punch and your wonderful coloring.
Joanne - I ADORE the layout and colors on your stamping B card! Dang girl - EXCELLENT!
What beautiful work on these two exquisite cards, Joanne!! Awesome Copic coloring!!
Your coloring is amazing.. WOW that first one looks like you could just pick that apple up off the page.. Gorgeous work Joanne.. The layout on the second one is so unique.. It really caught my eye..
