Stampin B's Challenge #51 and CCEE Challenge #1012

Stampin B's Challenge #51
Hostess -- Lois
Challenge -- Color Challenge of purple, yellow, and green

Well, if your cup of coffee didn't wake you up this morning, the colors of this card should....lol!!!!  Lois challenged us to a color combo of purple, yellow, and green.  Now I must say that when I saw the combo I totally had planned to do a lovely floral card, but then these digital images of the COFFEE BRAWD arrived and I just felt compelled to play with 'her'.  All images and the sentiment are from Totally Stampalicious.  You really should check out their stamps, because they have a great sense of humor and really make stamping fun!!! The really cool thing is that right now when you order a set of their stamps you get free digital images of that set for FREE!!  Isn't that cool????

I really don't feel there is much that needs explaining on this one.  If there is something you need to know, just ask away in a comment and I'll get back to you.

Since I originally scheduled this post, I did make the floral card I set out to do originally, and here it is ...tah dum.....The image is by Innovative Stamp Creations.

Now be sure to go to the Stampin B's blog to see the work of the rest of the team and to check out how you can play with us.

CCEE Challenge #1012
Hostess ---Tosh
Challenge --- Inspiration Photo

Once again, Tosh inspired us with a photo.  Well,  I basically went with the colors -- pastels -- and used pretty in pink, vanilla, bashful blue, and barely banana.  I actually used to (in my baking days) make some sweet little pastel cookies that looked like this.  They melted in your mouth and were so pretty to display on a plate.  The stamps I used are from a retired SU set called Roses in Winter.
Now I just need to tell you that I had some difficulty with this photo of my card.  Please know that in real life, my rose is the same shade as the cardstock with a few darker areas.  The photo editing made it much deeper in my photo.  This is really the opposite of my first card.  This one is soft, pastel, and serene.

Now be sure to visit the CCEE Blog to see the wonderful creations of the rest of the team.

No wonder you're always feel so behind; you are a card-makin' machine, woman!!! Just keep on swimming! Keep on swimming! :-)

I used retired SU color; you used a retired SU stamp-----great minds think alike, once, again (retire!!!!) I wanna retire!!! You ARE retired!

Okay. Sorry....I'm getting punchy....it was a nutso work day and I'm soon off to exercise class. I had to come visit my SnoSnertie, though, and see what she's been up to. I see even though you're a stampin' machine, you still give each project you create your quality touches. Beautiful cards! You know I'm lovin' all that purple, and the pastels in your CCEE card are so purty!

Wait a minute....Bertie's talkin' to me.....what? You want SnoSnertie to make you them thar cookies she use to bake? Okay. Well, you ask her real nice like and she just might! You know, though, if you eat cookies you'll have to exercise double time!

Okay. I gotta go and see what the other CCEEers were up to today, JoJo! So good to see you, agin!

All very creative, Joanne. The first card reminded me of my daughter. You don't talk to her until she's had two cups of coffee in the morning!
