The Magic Apple -- Tea Party in NH

( Please be sure to go down one post to see one of the fabulous stamps being released tomorrow by Innovative Stamp Creations.)

Today the Tea Partiers are off to Hampton Fall, New Hampshire!! (I really wish this was for real, cuz that is not so terribly far from me here in CT and I could get to meet all of you!!!) Please go here for the whole story. A one sentence descriptions would be....The Tea Partiers are going to NH to investigate some strange happenings at the very large Apple Farm Orchard in Rockingham County. (But of course, there are twists in the story....it is a Muddermark story!!)

Well, here is MY story.....This apple is the MAGIC apple. Everyone is wondering how Ms. Annie Mae Appleseed can pick apples so much faster than anyone else even though she is but a teenie weenie slip of a girl. Well, the family (the Appleseeds of Johnny Appleseed fame) have long passed on a family secret. On one particular branch of one particular tree, they must watch for the first apple to grow each season. Once identified, if you touch that apple before pickiing others apples, then for the rest of the season the other apples basically pick themselves whenever that family member is around. So, that is mystery on how Annie can pick apples so much faster than anyone else. It is magic in another way, too. At the end of the season, after all the apples have been picked and the other pickers have returned to their homes in Haiti (lots of apple pickers come north from Haiti to work on the apple farms), the Magic Apple becomes Annie's home until the next season. The core gives her a place to sleep and the 'meat' of the apple sustains her through the winter. And.......even though it is still on the tree, no one else can see it once picking season is over. So....that is the story of Annie Mae Appleseed, prime picker of apples.

This apple stamp is an oldie from SU.

Have a fabulous day and please be sure to go down one post to see a sneak peek from Innovative Stamp Creations.
