Charlene shared a sad story about Dusty, a beloved Teddy who is abandoned as his sweetie grows up. First he is sent to the attic, but then the family moves away and leaves this beloved Teddy behind. The Tea Party today is in Detroit as we are going there to rescue Dusty and find him a new home. I am a bit of a teddy bear collector so he already knows he can camp here anytime, but he really wants to be placed with a young 'un who needs some lovin'.
When I had a 'chat' with Dusty, he asked me to make a card he could sent to the Tea Partiers to thank them for their kind efforts in finding him a loving home.....or a home to which he can bring love. This is that card.
Thanks to Charlene for sharing this story with us and for subbing for the Muddermark. She follows the great tradition of story telling her buddy is the Queen of.....thanks, Bertie and Gertie! (And, Bertie....thanks for the promise that you won't fling any teddies around at the party!!)
On the home front I am happy to say that my sister's recovery is coming along quite well. She actually went (slowly and carefully) up and down the stairs a couple times today. That is a huge 'step' after her major back surgery.
I am also happy to say that I returned to the pool today....wow...did that water feel good.....so refreshing.....so nice to move and not hurt!!!
All in all, a great day here! Hope it was a great one in your neighborhood too!!!
