When I saw that today's CAS challenge onSCS was a color challenge, I thought I would play this evening. I also used as my inspiration, the wonderful and deceptively CAS creations of Silke (sparklegirl). As a stamper, my style seems to involve lots and lots of layers, and most of those layers have black mats. I almost NEVER make my card on the actual card base, which is something Silke does all the time and it looks so FABULOUS.
Well....my results are pale in comparison to her work, but I must admit I am happy with them. And, really............that is all that counts, eh????
The sentiment and image are by Little Paper Shop. The designer paper is part of a Basic Grey paper pad, I believe from Eskimo Kisses. The border punch is by Martha Stewart. This was also my first attempt at using Flower Soft. The consistency surprised me....I really thought it would be more fine a material rather than clumpy until you break it up. I need some more practice before I can say I LOVE it.....lol!!!!
We had a typical early autumn day here in Connecticut today. Generally a bit cool, but very warm in the sun, and lots of breezes in the afternoon. Now we are under threat of possible thundershowers.
