Roxie Rocks

Well, I usually take Sundays off, but today I just had to make an exception. My dear friend and mentor, Roxie, was honored as the Featured Stamper. This honor is LONG overdue and so well DESERVED. Besides hostessing the Sketch Challenge each week, always on time and with great layouts for us, Roxie is a teacher and a 'sharer'. Look at any of her cards in the galleries and you will know exactly how she achieved the wonderful creations. She talks about technique used, measurements, colors, and hints to help others achieve and stretch their talents. I have learned so much from Rox through the years. She probably has no idea just how much help and support she provides her fellow stampers. Besides this, Roxie takes the time to leave comments on nearly every card done for a Sketch Challenge. That is a great claim to fame for a challenge hostess. It is especially encouraging for newbies joining in the challenge.

Rox.....I chose this one because I love leaves and loved what you did with your card. Mine pales in comparison, but I am honored to CASE you.

Please take time to look at Roxie's card that I cased. It is a beauty.

I changed the colors a bit. I did the piercing above the horizontal panel instead of on it. I splattered some gray ink with my itty bitties as I did not do my shadowing as nicely as Rox did. I used leaves from a set called Fall Leaves by Innovative Stamp Creations. This set is full of leaves and possibilities.

We are bright and sunny here today, with a lovely cool breeze. A true Spring day!!!! Hoping you each find a bit of sunshine and joy in your day.
