FRUSTRATION.....

This is just an FYI for people waiting for news on my Colorado trip. I am nearly bursting with frustration. When I got home last night the FIRST thing I tried to do was to get online and catch up and share ........... HOWEVER ........... my computer is not cooperating. I cannot get the upstairs monitor to work. This happened once before a few weeks ago when I unplugged because of a storm. That time I got lucky. This time I am not. I have been on my hands and knees, which is a true challenge and painful experience for me, and have had no success. Hopefully my more technologically gifted sister will be able to solve the problem tonight.....so .......I have no pictures and cannot upload any pictures of cards until then, although I can scan cards if all else fails.

SO..............as to my Colorado trip...................

It was a true BLAST!!!!

I truly have been blessed........The scenery was specatcular, the condo was fantabulous, the stamping was exciting, and the PEOPLE, well.....the people were the BEST!! I feel as if I knew them my whole life............and they are a HOOT!! .....and so kind......and smart.....and hilarious......and they put up with me and were all speaking with me even at the end of the trip!!!!
I even earned a new nickname.....Glittersnot................ya would have to know the whole story which I won't bore you with, but to put it succinctly (not sure if the spelling is right?)......I, the stamper who does not TOUCH GLITTER (due to my peeper problems) ended up covered in bright pink glitter from neck to toes.....................I'm sure there are some very ugly pictures of this out there.....................!!

Cindy (Mothermark.....otherwise known as Mothersnotdot) is exactly the way you would imagine. She is the BEST and made me feel so very welcome. She is kind and thoughtful.....and yes, her heart is just as BIG as we all imagine from her good works on SCS.........and she is just as CRAZY as we all think, too!!! She even saw PENGUINS in the mountains of Steamboat Springs..........(personally I think she was wishing Charlene (LilLuvsStampin) was with us when she saw them......).....the penguins, by the way, were magpies!!

Traci (tracim).....is just the most hospitable, kind, concerned hostess.....and wow...does that gal know how to decorate a home.....she is one talented lady.......she was so kind to share her condo with us.....and, by the way, she has a lead foot or two when she drives those mountain roads......(just teasing, gf)......we had such a fabulous time, thanks to her hospitality.......she is a gem!!!!

Then we come to the DORKS (not my term....this is their name......don't yell at me)...of which Traci is the MOM.......

Peggysue (peggysue).......is a hoot.......and, by the way, peggysue is NOT her name.......her real name slips my mind, but I think it was Jeanne ( sorry 'peggysue').......she is such a great lady and so much fun to 'play' with and talk to........and she let us play with her Rubber Tapestry stamps and I finally created a RT card that I really love......from now on I will think of her everytime I use my RT and peg stamps.......and it will also remind me of many fabulous moments during our time together in Colorado.....

Lois (Minister'sWife....may have spelled that wrong, but I can't seem to get on SCS to check it)....is so talented and so funny. My goodness, I am a mere beginning stamper when I hear the fountain of information she has to share.......and in such a fabulous package of kindness, humor, and friendship.........she is a hoot!!!!

And.....mix them all together with ME and you have the perfect blend for a delicious stamping retreat in the mountains.....

the mountains.....the scenery.....the view......the sounds.......which are a whole other story I will share when I can do some picture loading with my camera and upstairs computer.

BTW.....I visted the famous DOTS room.....and I have pictures to prove it.......saw Cindy's Dirty Dozen cards IN PERSON....how cool is that.............and I can tell you that they are all more fabulous than you even think they are.........................

ALSO.....how could I forget to mention this............I also met the PHOTOGRAPHER.......and he is so sweet and funny.....just like Cindy........

AND......that teapot collection of Cindy's.....is simply fabulous.......and growing.....lol!!!!

Well....that is the condensed version of the basics of the trip.

However, even though he won't see this, for those of my local friends who read this blog, I want to acknowledge my dear friend Lou who accompanied me on the travel portion of this trip and his friend Reed who met us in Colorado and delivered me to Cindy.....without Lou I probably would not have made this trip. With my weak peepers, I don't travel like I used to and it was his kindness that enabled me to go on this trip. So, thanks Lou!!!!

Now I am off to try once again to get on SCS and then up to try and try and try to get that dang monitor to work.

(And.....Cindy....Mothersnotdot......And all the gals................the pictures will be coming....some hour, some day when you least expect them......................lol!!!!)

Joanne!! You can trust me to never call you by the glitter globe name, it is a mouthful!!
Boy, you encapsulated our trip better than I ever could have, and I love the eyes you saw through.
You were a wonderful considerate guest, and I am so glad you came and shared my mountain retreat with the rest of us...and Cindy is just like you said, as is Peggysue and Lois. I learned a lot of stamping techniques from all of you!
As for the lead foot...can I just say in my defense, I was trying to get us there before nightfall as I didn't want us trying to manage those stairs in the dark! But it was pretty funny to warn you about the state troopers and then dare them to stop me! I am a dork, what can I say??
It was fun, and thanks for the warning with the pictures!
Thanks again for coming, I am so glad you did!!

Yaaaaay, GlitterGlowGlobSnotDot (don't worry, JoJo, I will never remember that name--ha!) is safely home!!! I am so sorry you are having those 'puter problems....stupid 'puters anyway. Mine went into some kind of looping mode on me this morning and was totally freakin' me out! Anywhoooooo, I so enjoyed your post about your trip today, Jo. You described MotherSnotPenguinDot and TraciLeadFootDorkyDot to a tee! Peggydot and Loisdot sound like wonderful ladies. I can't give them speshul (sic) names yet since I haven't met them (yet). So much fun ya'll had! I can't wait to see your pictures, gf! I am so glad you got to go and have a blast! Oh, yeah, that Dots Room is sumpin' else, isn't it? I wish it were mine.

You summarized the trip much better than I did, yes, yes, yes, even to Traci's lead foot, because that lead foot is much heavier than you would ever realize, she was HOLDING BACK and not going as fast as usual so as not to skeer us flatlanders. Lois and I are flatlander dorks, we don't do curvy roads well!
I promise never to shower you in glitter again, no more glitter projects ever if you're there!
The trip was a hoot ... or would that be a squawk . . . I don't know what sort of noise a penguin makes, I'll have to listen more carefully next time I make it to Colorado.

Hey GlitterSnoSnotglowglobdot! I thought that was your new nic name...well, actually I don't think anyone can really remember what it is! So for now this will do!

How fun to read your post! I cannot believe you stole my penquin, stuffed him in your suitcase! For shame! I am surprised you made it through security with such a cargo!

As far as the pictures, no worries! You can loose them forever and I won't be too disappointed! You know me and pictures! Bah! I would rather use my imagination to remember our trip. I will never forget the company I was in when I saw my first Colorado Mountain penquin! Hee!

It was a kick Joanne! And so are you! You are just lucky you didn't dump my coke out....then you woulda seen Gertie!!!!!
