This blog's creation was due to my 'secret', which was revealed today at There She Goes Clear Stamps. I am so excited to say that I am now a Trendsetter at There She Goes (Trendsetters being the new name for their design team members). I hope that you will stop in often to see the creations made with these wonderful stamps. On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week we will be giving you peeks at the new releases. You will have a chance to win the new sets by doing a Blog Hop on those days. If you visit and comment at each Trendsetter's blog, and leave a message at Jessica's blog to say that you did, you'll have a chance to win the set for that day. So join the Trendsetters in the coming days!
Today, as a way for you to get to know the Trendsetters, we will all be answering a set of questions gathered from member's blogs. I look forward to learning more about the extremely talented ladies I am joining on this team. I only hope I can do them proud!
Here we go....
1. What do you typically start a project with? What's picked first: stamps, embellishments, DP, colors....?
If I have a sketch I want to try, that is what would start my process. Sketches are my favorite challenge on SCS or on the various blogs. If I don't have a sketch in mind, then I would say that the stamps "speak to me' next.
2. Do you give away your cards, sell them, send them, or hoard them.....or all of the above?
I actually send or gift most of them. I am a Card Angel for a chemo patient, so I use some weekly for that. A few friends request that for the holidays or birthdays an assortment of cards. I also make gift sets for holiday gifts. Donations to a convalescent hospital and RAK's use up some of my supply. And......my very favorites I hoard.....lol!!!
3. If you could design your own stamp or stamp set, what would it be?
This is an easy one. I would love a stamp set of all different kinds of stems and leaves. I own lots of flower stamps and would love some alternate stems and leaves to use with all the flowers. They should be in all sorts of styles: classic, funky, techie, swirly, etc.
4. Where do you get your inspiration?
I spend a lot of time at Splitcoast and am inspired by the challenges there as well as the wonderful stamping community who fill the galleries with such wonderful creations.
5. How do you balance your stamping time with real life?
Well, that's an easy one! I'm retired!
6. What is your favorite embellishment?

6. What is your favorite embellishment?
They are ALL my favorites.....but if I have to pick I would say brads and primas. When I go to the LSS I just can't resist any new primas or brads.
7. What is something that not a lot of people know about you?
I am pretty much an open book. No real secrets here.
8. On average how long does it take you to create one of these fabulous cards we see each week?
Uhm....that's a hard one to answer. Some easy cards take me forever and others just create themselves.
9. What is your favorite coloring medium?
Now, stampers who know me will say, "She is a silhouette girl!" However, I am truly growing to love my Copics. They are smooth, fairly easy to control, and they let you add layers. I am still learning, however, and coloring is not my strength. I am in awe of stampers who have that artistic touch with their coloring!
10. What time of day do you prefer to do your creating?
Morning is my preferred stamping time, but I do it whenever time allows.
